In advance of the Synod on the Family, CTA and other lay-led Catholic groups have collaborated to create a Media Guide and distributed it to over 200 journalists and commentators who will be covering the Synod.

After Bishop Paprocki made anti-Muslim statements in a speech last week, our CTA chapter responded quickly with a statement making it clear that the Bishop did not speak for the majority of Catholics in the diocese.

Fr. Robert Marrone, who faced excommunication in 2010 for standing with his parish when the diocese tried to close it, will speak on Wednesday in Columbus about the state of community in our Church and what the future may hold.

Since 2006, Catholics in the diocese of Venice, Florida have been tirelessly trying to save their Church from the effects of a Bishop whose intimidation and bullying have harmed many.

An interactive workshop at this year's Conference in Memphis will focus on a topic that has been at the core of discussions over dinner or drinks at Conference for years: How do we minister to our children and teens? How do we create a progressive Catholic community to raise our children in?

On Wednesday, CTA chapter leader Jenn spoke at a press conference announcing the newly formed Don't Shoot Coalition, which was formed in response to the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson and will work for police accountability and systematic change of the factors that brought about his death.
