What is the Vision Council?
The Vision Council is CTA’s national governing body (board). Vision Council members serve as ambassadors for CTA's mission, provide overall vision and direction for the organization, and ensure financial resources for CTA to advance its core values and strategic initiatives. Members of CTA’s Vision Council agree to:
Work to further the mission, vision, and core beliefs of CTA
Commit to serve for at least one term of 3 years
Actively learn and engage in consensus decision making practices.
Commit to actively support anti-racist, anti-oppressive objectives of CTA.
Participate in monthly, 90-minute Zoom calls.
Serve in a leadership role on at least one committee or working group (Immigration, Anti-Racism, Personnel, Development, Programs, Liberated Liturgies, Finance, 50th Anniversary Conference Planning).
Actively work to identify, recruit, and support new Vision Council members.
Commit to be a conduit of communication and information between members and the Vision Council. This is critical to ensure the Vision Council does not work in isolation but acts with the consent and understanding of the wider CTA community.
Complete CTA-sponsored anti-racism/anti-oppression training.
Participate in annual in-person Vision Council meetings. (All costs associated
with Vision Council service are covered by Call To Action)
There is no requirement or expectation that Vision Council members financially support the organization at a particular level as part of their service. However, members are expected to support fundraising efforts through calling, emailing, and thanking donors.
