Year-end appeal: Christmas message

Dear Friend,

The power of this one word - Emmanuel - is enough to transform our world and ourselves. The commercialization and busyness of the season cannot distract us from the powerful message that God is with us each and every moment of our lives, especially when such loving presence seems impossible. The Christmas story, a virgin conceiving and giving birth to a child, is a story about the Holy Spirit overcoming the impossible to be with us, always.

For almost 40 years, I have felt God with us within Call To Action. In Call To Action, Catholics find a place where faith is dynamic, a place where church is relevant to our lives, and a place where the marginalized find a home.

Call To Action is committed to making the reign of God more present in our personal lives, our world, and our church, including making sure that there is "room in the inn" for those who have not felt welcomed in the church. Call To Action strives to be the best of church. It inspires, empowers, and transforms. Help pass on this hope to others.

Call To Action bears witness to the fact that the reign of God has come, continues to come at the present time, and will come in its fullness at the end. This is the powerful Christmas message that Call To Action brings to us throughout the entire year.

I am proud to support Call To Action, especially now, when the world so desperately needs to hear - Emmanuel - God with us.

Many blessings and much joy this season!

Warm regards,
