All CTA members and friends who identify as QTPOC (Queer/Trans*, Black/Brown, Indigenous, Asian-American/Pacific Islander, People of Color) are invited to participate in a special virtual Advent liturgy as part of the launching of the Alternative Liturgies Calendar!

This liturgy will be led by Fr. Jerry (he/they) aka “The People's Priest,” a friend of CTA and a queer latino/native priest within the Independent/Inclusive Catholic Movement. For more info, visit revjerrymaynard.org.

It is important to remember that in order to dismantle oppressive patterns of Roman Catholicism, there will be an emphasis on shared collaboration in this liturgy. This means you are truly invited to bring every ounce of who you are to this sacred and safe space, where you are encouraged to be brave!

WHAT TO BRING:

  1. Wine/bread for Communion

  2. A heart for worship

  3. Willingness to engage authentically

  4. Openness to the working of the Holy Spirit

  5. Joys and anxieties are also welcomed

Much love and deep gratitude for each of you! Keep on keeping on!
