Join CTA and the Democratic Socialists of America's Religion and Socialism Working Group for a panel discussion on the state of Catholic labor, and how to change it.

Activists, workers, and legal aids will begin by discussing the "ministerial exemption" which allows the Catholic Church to avoid most labor laws and ignore normal worker protections, including the right to organize a union. The discussion will then highlight how racism, sexism, and anti-LGBTQ sentiment uniquely intersect in the Catholic workplace. Finally, panelists will suggest how Catholics and allies can join or create the organizing efforts to change the state of Catholic Labor. See you there!
