Call To Action celebrates John XXIII as our movement for reform and renewal, and our organizational mission and vision, are rooted in the Second Vatican Council’s charge to “scrutinize the signs of the times” and respond in the light of the Gospel.

The council empowered Catholic laity to be the Church they know is possible. Inspired by the best of our tradition, our cultivation of a church for everyone continues today!

To honor John XXIII and the Second Vatican Council's expansive vision, Call To Action has created resources to use when talking to family and friends about John XXIII's work for reform.

Proclamation of the Saintly Deeds of Pope John XXIII

Let us pray with Pope John XXIII that our Church can be a source of truth and justice, love and peace.

Divine Spirit, renew your wonders in our time, as though for a new Pentecost, and grant that the holy church, preserving unanimous and continuous prayer, together with Mary the Mother of Jesus, and also under the guidance of St. Peter, may increase the reign of the Divine Savior, the reign of truth and justice, the reign of love and peace. Amen.

-Prayer of Pope John XXIII to the Holy Spirit, 1961
