CTA sponsoring the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice

Call To Action is proud to sponsor the Ignatian Solidarity Network’s Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice, October 22-24, 2022 in Washington, D.C.

CTA will present a breakout session at the conference: "Re/Generating Church: Cultivating Intergenerational Organizing Through Praxis" on Sunday, October 23rd from 11-11:45 a.m. We will explore how liberation theology’s principle of praxis can cultivate intergenerational organizing; explore connections between cross-class and intergenerational organizing—highlighting projects from Call To Action’s Re/Generation program, which allows young Catholics to develop campaigns, media, and alternative spaces rooted in Catholic social justice teaching, including anti-racism and Indigenous solidarity, immigration reform, and LGBTQIA+ and gender justice.

CTA staffers will also host a gathering for young Catholics during the weekend of the event, and we have funding to help both CTA members and young people attend. If you know a young Catholic who would be interested in attending the teach-in, please reach out to Lauren: lauren@cta-usa.org; or Tamar: tamar@cta-usa.org for information about funding support.
