Climate justice films released

Yadira Sanchez’s family is just one of the many experiencing COVID right now – but as a frontline community,  exposed to fossil fuel emissions and with terrible asthma – their lives are now on the line more than ever.

Filmmakers have a gift to share with us as we hope for a new Advent, the start of a new year in the church and hopefully a new era, where all can breathe!

The Human Element introduces us to Yadira Sanchez, her family and what they are up against. Check out the trailer here:

And then, some good news and an advance look at another moving film, which was in the top 3 at the NY Documentary Film Festival this last couple weeks, Youth v GovThis film follows the constitutional equal protection case of 3 Catholic youth (one CTA member here), several Indigenous youth, and more, 21 kids in total who have been seeking protection of life for all. As a top showing film, its run has been extended for online streaming until Nov. 29th. It’s a new day that we have been waiting for, for a long time, and there is hope in Advent! Feel free to email Marie (Vision Council member and CTA Colorado) if you want to think, read, further, or collaborate as CTA members in this area of our Call To Action.
