Gender, Justice, Priesthood: Virtual Panel on June 13

Register at ctachi.org for a virtual panel, conversation, and prayer with:

  • Rev. Myra Brown, the third Black woman in modern history to be ordained as a Catholic priest. Rev. Brown has trained CTA’s anti-racism team and is Pastor of Spiritus Christi, a Catholic church in New York.

  • Mary E. Hunt, a feminist theologian and co-founder of the Women’s Alliance for Theology, Ethics, and Ritual (WATER). She lectures and writes on theology and ethics.

  • Katie Lacz, the Program Associate for the Women’s Ordination Conference. She has ministered to young adults exploring the intersection of faith and social justice, and is also a spiritual director and writer.

  • Rev. Margaret Watson, a priest from the U.K. and Episcopal vicar with the Old Catholic Apostolic Church. She was originally ordained in the Salvation Army and is working on a catechism with inclusive language.

Moderated by Natalie Lall, a member of CTA Chicago and a student at Carthage College, where she majors in political science and theater and minors in women’s and gender studies.
