Although the LGBTQ+ community in the United States has made great civil rights gains over the last decade, issues related to gender identity and sexual orientation remain contentious within the institutional Catholic Church and many lay Catholic communities. In the following presentation, “Finding Your Voice: Walking with the LGBTQ+ Community and Learning How to Respond to Non-Supportive Faith Community Members,” spiritual director and educator Dr. Bradley Leger invites participants to reflect on these harmful and conflicting messages from the magisterium and provided tools that both queer Catholics and allies can use to facilitate productive conversations across communities and generations.

Call To Action’s Community Leaders sponsored Dr. Leger’s presentation, which was held via Zoom on January 18, 2023. We would like to thank CTA's New Orleans Chapter for their special support of this presentation.
