Re/Generation calls young leaders animated by liberatory, life-giving faith to reckon with the injustices of the Catholic institution while incarnating new ways of being church.

CTA’s Re/Generation program gathers, supports, and mobilizes a growing community of young Catholic change-makers as they discern their particular vocations and lead the church toward healing and justice. Moving into our fourth programming year, we are sharpening our focus and commitments to anti-racism by launching two cohorts under the Re/Generation umbrella. The POC Cohort will be a cohort exclusively of people of color, and the Local Cohort will provide dedicated support to people looking to build local progressive Catholic communities outside traditional parishes.

Both of the 2021 Re/Generation Program cohorts are open to Re/Gen alumni! The Local Cohort is interracial, while the POC Cohort is for POC only.

We have extended the application deadline to February 26!

Re/Generation 2021

Re/Generators will:

Explore their unique vocation as a Catholic change-maker
Participate in the Opening Retreat June 4-6th with fellow Re/Generators and other Catholic change-makers
Collaborate in the intergenerational network of Catholic change-makers as part of the CTA 2021 National Campaign
Receive accompaniment from an elder mentor
Receive a stipend

Re/Generators must:

Be between the ages of 20 and 39
Be committed to LGBTQ equality, anti-racism, and anti-oppression
Have a desire to collaborate intergenerationally
Have a passion for social justice and their Catholic faith
Commit to attending monthly cohort calls with their fellow Re/Generators June-December
Be based in the U.S.

POC Cohort

Local Cohort

Re/Generators will:

Connect with an all POC cohort of fellow Re/Generators
Be supported by an existing POC network within CTA

Re/Generators must:

Identify as a person of color

*POC are welcome to apply to join the Local Cohort in addition to or instead of the POC Cohort.

Re/Generators will:

Form a local Re/Generation Team and connect with other teams around the country
Collaborate with a Call To Action chapter to take action together as part of the 2021 National Campaign

Re/Generators must:

Be part of a local team. Applicants are encouraged to apply as a team. Those who apply as individuals will be placed with nearby applicants whenever possible.
