CTA getting more comfortable on the Internet
CTA groups have been quick to capitalize on the communication potential offered by the Internet. In additional to the national CTA Web site (http://call-to-action.org), four regional chapters have their own sites. As well as disseminating information about the second West Coast Regional Conference, CTA of Northern California uses their site to publish newsletters and action alerts (http://www.microweb.com/burnside/cta). CTA of Michigan has conference information as well as their latest newsletter, (http://lakes.ring.com/catholic/ctami.htm). CTA Wisconsin provides information about their Spring conference (http://www.execpc.com/~rakirsch/cta/) and CTA Chicagoland is promoting their first local conference (http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Parthenon/9753/ctac.html). All of these sites are linked to CTA national.

There are also three discussion lists that operate for members of CTA. RENEW-L was born out of the 1995 national conference. Vigorous discussions about church renewal issues are carried on by about 150 subscribers on this "unofficial CTA list." To participate, send a message to listserv@american.edu saying "subscribe renew-l [your name]" .

The national office has two discussion lists that it operates for particular groups of organizers: one for regional organizers, another for international church reform. For the first time, CTA is experimenting with an "auto reply mailer" to reduce the workload of our office manager in providing conference information. We are advertising a special email address as a way of obtaining fuller information about the national conference than we print in our ads. To find out the contact details of hotels, how to get to the convention center from the airport, the availability of food, etc., send a blank email to cta-conf-info@igc.org. The reply will be sent promptly by a "robot".
