Milwaukee's all-new convention center opening in mid-1998 has been chosen as the site for the CTA National Conference in 1998, 1999 and 2000.

After two years in Detroit, and with space and cost barriers preventing a return to Chicago, Milwaukee was chosen for a combination of reasons. They include brand new convention facilities, affordable prices, and accessibility of hotels, all in compact downtown Milwaukee with the airport only 15 minutes away. "Local support from CTA Michigan has been tremendous in '96 and '97, " said co-director Dan Daley. "We're already feeling the same enthusiasm from our affiliates and large membership in Wisconsin, Illinois and adjacent states for coming to Milwaukee."
