CTA staffer testifies on globalization
On Feb. 28, the final day of the USCC Social Ministry gathering in Washington, participants heard testimony on the issue of globalization. According to USCC staff, the bishops are considering writing a pastoral letter on the topic. Panelists included John Sweeney, president of the AFL-CIO, and Rev. David Schilling of the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility. Six conference participants were preselected to give testimony from the floor. CTAs Social Justice Organizer, Claire Noonan Bates, was among them. Her comments will soon be posted on the USCC and CTA websites.
