Call To Action is involved in numerous activities to renew the
church in the spirit of Vatican II. We bring people together
to share experiences and strategies at our national and regional
conferences and in groups like COR; we educate and disseminate
information through our print publications and the Internet;
and we facilitate community organizing.
CATHOLIC ORGANIZATIONS FOR RENEWAL - COR
is a coalition of Catholic groups, inspired by Vatican II, to
further the reform and renewal of the Catholic Church, and to
bring about a world of justice and peace, reflecting the sacredness
of all creation.
REGIONAL GROUPS - Call To
Action has many chapters and affiliate organizations nationwide.
If you're interested in connecting locally, contact the group
in your area, in addition to contacting the national Call To
Action office for membership information.
CALENDAR OF EVENTS - A list of church-reform
events nationwide
CHURCH RENEWAL DIRECTORY - We've put
together these "green pages," a collection of groups
committed to the spirit of CTA's Call for Reform in the Catholic
Church. This listing of small faith communities, church renewal
organizations, and social justice groups is available on-line.
INTERNATIONAL - Church reformers
are increasingly active in the global church, and now the Internet
provides the infrastructure for rapid, inexpensive communications.
As we talk with movements in other countries, we discover how
much we have in common and we coordinate our efforts.
INTERNET DISCUSSION LISTS - CTA uses
discussion lists to connect regional and international organizers.
In addition, two lists are open to members: RENEW-L for reform-minded
Catholics who want to connect with each other, and CTA-HOPE for
young adults.
THE FUTURE OF PRIESTLY MINISTRY
- CTA has joined with FutureChurch to help raise the consciousness
of our Catholic community about the nature of the ministerial
crisis we face.
WOMEN IN CHURCH LEADERSHIP - This
joint project with FutureChurch educates and advocates for advancing
women's roles in the Church right now, short of ordination.
RESPONSES TO CURRENT ISSUES -
Source material and comments by CTA and others on issues currently
or recently in the news.
